Hairfinity Challenge

Ms. Attallah  a Naturally UniQue client shared her Sisterlocks experience via YouTube.   This is an awesome video of Attallah's beautiful Sisterlocks Journey.  

I'm very happy to see clients loving their natural hair!  It's important to be patient with your Sisterlocks Journey.  Your Sisterlocks are always changing as you can see in the video by Attallah.  Sisterlocks are a low maintenance style but it's still very important to go to your scheduled maintenance appointments.  If you don't make your appointments your Sisterlocks will no longer be Sisterlocks and can break off.

I created this style by using Finger Comber Havana Twist Hair. It's different from Kinky Twist. Havana Twists are for someone looking to rock a transitional style but want a more natural look. You will definitely stand out from the rest!  The Havana Twists are bigger than Kinky Twists and not heavy at all.  You can use oils on this hair and  it can be washed and reused.

This king's Brotherlocks were installed this weekend and he's very happy to begin his Brotherlocks journey.  His Queen was first to get her Sisterlocks installed 2 months ago and she's loving her beautiful Sisterlocks too.  I look forward to watching their progress and growth :-)

 I wanted  to wish all the Naturalista's & Gents a Happy New Year.  I thought I would share some recent pics of me taken Dec 2012/Jan 2013... can't believe I will be 36 years old this year, but I will be a fierce & fabulous 36 lol... I plan to post more on my blog in the near future :-)

I thought I should post some info about Sisterlocks today.  In the last several weeks I have been Blessed with new transfer clients who were told they have Sisterlocks but actually they don't.  One has been thinking she's rocking Sisterlocks for the last two years and I had to be the one to break the news to her that she does not have Sisterlocks.   I have clients that tell me all the time about people saying they can do Sisterlocks here in Oklahoma BUT there is actually only TWO active Sisterlocks Consultants on the Sisterlocks Official Website for Oklahoma. Yes, I'm one of these two Consultants :-)  So here's some tips...

1. If the person who started your "Sisterlocks" is not on The Official Sisterlocks Website

I hope this helps people who are interested in getting Sisterlocks and to stay away from the "Step-Sisterlocks" .   There are so many ways to start locs and that's really great but because Sisterlocks is a trademarked hairstyle aka lifestyle there's only one method you can use to start Sisterlocks and that would be using the Sisterlocks official tool.  Also choosing a Consultant from the Sisterlocks Official Website.

I was invited to showcase Sisterlocks at the Naturally U photographic celebration of natural hair & hairstyles which was presented by Valerie Vaughn of Withunmind Photography. I honestly didn't know what to expect but it ended up being an awesome event! I met familiar and new faces. Many people were interested in Sisterlocks and the process. I even met a new client who is ready to join the Sisterlocks family. I enjoyed meeting the naturally kinky curly models. Shirlene of Go Natural was at the event demonstrating the many different natural products available. It was inspiring to see so many people interested in natural hair and that's BIG in a place called OKLAHOMA!
