MY CURLY LOCK BUN!!

Alright ladies I was looking for a easy quick style to do and I went to my favorite place to find styles which is Chescalocs Channel on YouTube! Chescalocs curls are from pipe cleaners but mine are from a twist out. So it dosen't matter how your curls are started! Curls can be from a braidout, twistout, rollers, pipe cleaners, or wrap a locs!

Chescalocs locks are bigger, fuller, and longer than mine so I will say my curly bun is definitely a modification curly lock bun specific to what I'm working with lol.

After taking these pictures I noticed I have different colors flowing throughout my locks so I will add a disclaimer "No extensions were used"!

I have attached the Chescalocs video and I recommend subscribing to her channel if you have not done so already.

HEY MR. I LOVE YOUR LOCKS!!

I was shopping at a health store in Little 5 points, ATL, GA when a gentleman walked by me with a head of long gorgeous locks! This King has been growing his locks for over 15 years. When I took the picture he was amazed by the back of his head. He stated he has not seen the back of his head in a long time! We laughed at that revalation and I thanked him for being so nice to let me photograph him.

When I visit the ATL the men never disappoint when it comes to natural hair...I would love to see more men rock the locks here in Oklahoma City! :-)

NATURALISTA'S 2 YEAR SISTERLOCKS ANNIVERSARY

Hello ladies and gents! I know it has been awhile since I posted. My life has been pretty busy lately. Thank You Dew drop for bringing to my attention that my post comments are not available on my blog. I'm currently working with my designer and comments should be back up shortly. An awesome accomplishment and her locks are absolutely gorgeous!

This Queen enjoys experimenting with different styles and loves her Sisterlocks Journey!

The pictures show her with relaxer ends and the recent pictures are without the chemically treated ends. They have been all cut off and now just a beautiful head of Sisterlocks!

KALIA-DEWDROP'S SHOWER UP DO!!!

So I was checking out the blogs I follow and I seen that Kalia did a video on a quick updo she created when she wanted to keep her hair dry in the shower. Well she made it look really easy because I was struggling a little bit. I think the main reason was the fact my hair is alot shorter than Ms. Dewdrops! I can't wait until my locks are as long as her's!

So I took some picture's of the finished style ( remember this was my first go at it) NO bobby pins are hair bands! My locks are still in the updo as I type this post. I really like it and I think it looks cute!

I found a great style to wear in this extreme heat here in Oklahoma City!

ONE YEAR SISTERLOCKS BIRTHDAY

I would like to Congratulate Diane on her 1 year Sisterlocks Birthday/Anniversary! When Diane started she only had two inches of natural hair. Her hair growth has been absolutely amazing over the past year! The last photo was Diane at 5 months of being locked and the rest of the photos are current.

CAROL'S DAUGHTER MONOI REPAIRING HAIR MASK REVIEW

I thought I do a review on a new product. I have been using CD's Monoi Repairing Hair Mask for 1 month now and this conditioner exceeded my expectations! The conditoner has a pleasant scent it smells like jasmine to me. Since I color my Sisterlocks I have to use a really good conditoner to keep my locks healthy and strong. This seems to be the question new clients have been asking according to a popular natural hair website!

I'm going to try very hard NOT to step on anyone's toes on this post but I needed to bring up this issue. As a Certified Sisterlocks Consultant I believe giving a Sisterlocks Starter Kit to a new client is like a Dentist giving a new patient a Dental Starter kit. A dental kit contains a toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss the necessities to get a patient on the right path of keeping healthy teeth. Well A Sisterlocks Starter kit contains special formulated shampoo, (roughens the hair cuticles so the hair will lock faster)rubberbands, how to directions on bundling, and a welcome to Sisterlocks card that you send to the Sisterlodge to receive a gift. The Sisterlocks Starter kit is a necessity in helping a new client get started on their Sisterlocks Journey.

This kit along with other Sisterlocks products can only be purchased from the Sisterlocks Headquarters located in San Diego, California. It is an extra cost to the Consultant but in the training class the Consultant who is a trainee is given 3 starter kits to help them get started with new clients. Then the Consultant should purchase more for future installations. I say should because it is not a must. Dr. Joanne Cornwell doesn't say you have to buy the Sisterlocks products but the products are specially made for Sisterlocks. I personally believe if there is only ONE product the Consultant can afford this Consultant should purchase the Sisterlocks Starter Kit for their clients!

I'm just saying if a Consultant is charging you $700+ to install your Sisterlocks you should get a Starter Kit with your install! Consultants only pay $7.95 for each kit!
